42nd Street and 6th Avenue, Manhattan
With the warm weather Mike, Mindy and I have been exploring Manhattan almost every weekend. On Saturday we hit Hell's Kitchen, Bryant Park, Herald Square, and the Eataly Marketplace on 23rd Street.
Smaller than the carousel in Central Park, Bryant Park has it's own beautiful carousel surrounded by colorful flower gardens, hanging and rail baskets.
After we ate our picnic lunch and took in the sights...lol...yes, that is a plumbers crack on the lady near the lawn....haha! We were off to Herald Square/Macy's between 34th and 35th Street.
This cute little park is right across the street from Macy's in midtown Manhattan. Visualize the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade when the cameras show the front of Macy's. That is exactly where Herald Square is located.
We quickly ran into Macy's to see if they had any throw pillows for our sofa and were pleasantly surprised to find on the 8th and 9th floors the old fashion wooden escalators. The escalator was so narrow compared to a standard escalator.
Once back in West New York, New Jersey...we took a walk along the top of the palisades...we love this view of NYC.
