Norwegian Cruise Line's newest ship, Breakaway
Mike and I were able to watch the launching of Norwegian's largest ship today.
It's amazing how large this vessel is. 18 stories high, rock climbing wall, basketball courts, and three stories of athletic "stuff" on top. Breakaway's home port will be Manhattan and offers 7 day trips to the Bahamas and Florida, and 14 day trips to the Southern Caribbean.
The ship was christened by the legendary Rockettes during a ceremony officiated by mayor Bloomberg and adds to the City's $55 billion tourism industry.
You can't see the hull artwork very well in the photo, but it was designed by pop icon , Peter Max, and boasts NYC venue icons like Lady Liberty, and the City's Skyline. It's very colorful and eye catching.
Spring has sprung
On another note...it's been raining here and everything is turning green! Lovin' it!!
