Coney Island, Brooklyn

A 15 minute bus ride and an hour subway ride and we found ourselves at Coney Island. :)

Our first stop was Nathans for a hotdog.  Coney Island is home to the original Nathans founded in 1916

 

We walked the boardwalk along Coney Island Beach all the way to Brighton Beach.

 

 

 

It was a hot day and ice cream seemed to be a big seller...Mike and I fell right in suit.  I had Butter Pecan and Mike had Pistachio

 

 There were lots of rides and game to choose from...my favorite is the Wonder Wheel.

  

Next trip we're bring our suits and towels.

 

We've heard about Coney Island our entire life...it was fun to finally get here.
