Skytop Lodge, Poconos PA

Happy Thanksgiving

We started the day off right with our favorite weather man, Mike Woods, wearing a Turkey Hat while providing us with a forecast for our drive to the Poconos.  He is such a good sport.

After our 90 minute drive...

We arrived at Skytop Lodge in the Poconos.

A beautiful lodge built in 1928 on 5,500 acres.

The hotel was decorated to the nines with Christmas decorations and the largest Gingerbread house we had ever seen made with over 600 pounds of Gingerbread dough.

We enjoyed a wonderful five course meal that included Crab cakes and Shrimp Cocktail appetizer, Pumpkin Bisque Soup, Meschun greens, goat cheese and Pomegranate salad, and oven roasted Pennsylvania Farmed Turkey, stuffing, chive whipped potato with asparagus.  We finished it off with Pumpkin cheesecake and pecan pie.  Mmmmmmm good.

The day would only have been made better by being able to share it with our family and friends.
